Core Values:

1) Our Purpose—to glorify God, as individuals and as a church.  Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven”  Matthew 5:16.    To glorify God is to display His character in our deeds, thoughts, and attitudes.  It is Christ in us which is the source of that glory—Colossians 1:27.

2) Our Mission—to make disciples of Jesus Christ among all people groups, beginning in Bakersfield, and extending to the ends of the earth, in the power of the Holy Spirit—Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8.  “Him (Christ) we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.” Colossians 1:28

3) Our Means—to love God and to love people.  Jesus summarized the law into two commandments—“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the great and first commandment.  And a second is like it.  You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets”—Matthew 22:37-40.

Leadership Team:
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
